The chapter 5 assignment was due this morning - 8 did not pass it in.  This must come to me before homeroom tomorrow morning.  Quiz is on Wed.

Chapter 5 quiz will be written in two parts:  The multiple choice will be written on Wednesday and the long answers on Thursday.

Today we started finding Discounts/Sale Prices/ Sales Tax/ Selling or Total Prices

Students truly need a calculator to complete this work - many do not have one and neither do I.

Wednesday we completed section 5.2.  I did a variety of the questions on the board with the class and they were to copy the answers.  This ensures that they know the amount of detail needed to get full points when asked those types of questions.  It was also an introduction to the use of models when working with percents.
#4,5,7,12,14 were completed.  If you were absent you need to get the notes from a classmate

Today we did converting from decimal numbers to fractions and percents.  Sheet #3 was given.  Some finished in class and others will pass in tomorrow.
